CANTON, OH—Sleep Specialist Frankie Roman, M.D. has relocated his main office practice to the Crescent Pointe Building, 4774 Munson St. NW, Suite 100, Canton, OH 44718. Dr. Roman is a member of the medical staff of Akron-based Neurology & Neuroscience Associates and Ohio Sleep Disorders Centers. Board-certified in sleep medicine since 1992, he provides comprehensive sleep medicine services, as well as comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, loud snoring, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, bedwetting, sleepwalking, nightmares and night terrors, and REM behavior disorders. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico and completed his residency in internal medicine at Providence Hospital. He completed fellowships in sleep disorders medicine at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, La Jolla, CA, and in pulmonary medicine at Michigan State University. Dr. Roman received a law degree from The University of Akron, enabling him to assist patients with issues related to disability, work and driving restrictions, and Social Security. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM), Dr. Roman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is a published author and speaker on sleep disorders, and has trained other physicians to become Diplomates of the ABSM. Among his many activities, Dr. Roman is on the board of directors of the National Sleep Foundation, where he is co-chair of the government affairs committee; serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation; and is president of the Carlos Baerga Children's Foundation in Canton.
