for Akron General Medical Center AKRON, OH--Neurologist Hugh Miller, M.D., has been selected as Stroke Team Leader for Akron General Medical Center. The announcement was made by Sanjiv Tewari, M.D., chairman of the hospital's department of medicine. As stroke team leader, Dr. Miller will help ensure ongoing accreditation of the hospital's stroke program. He will work closely with the departments of emergency medicine and radiology and lead research in this area. In conjunction with Dr. John Duldner, stroke team champion from the department of medicine, Dr. Miller will lead all quality-improvement initiatives and committees. Dr. Miller is a member of the medical staff of Akron-based Neurology & Neuroscience Associates (NNA) and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Board certified in neurology, Dr. Miller earned his medical degree at Wayne State University and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic. Special interests include stroke, movement disorders and dementias. NNA provides compassionate care and quality service in the comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of neurological conditions. Its team of physicians, nurse practitioners and technicians utilize the latest technologies and most advanced medical therapies at eight outpatient offices located in Akron, Brunswick, Green, Hudson, Medina, Massillon, Ravenna and West Akron, Ohio.
